This experimental workshop will allow you to play with painterly techniques to produce monotype - ‘one off’ prints. Using an open silkscreen in our screen print studio and a range of mark making techniques, you can build up layers of marks very quickly to create bold, loose, exciting and unusual images, abstract or figurative - there’s no pressure and few limitations!

You can start with using plain papers to build up your image or experiment with existing images, these could be your own drawings, prints, found images, or smooth collages.

You can just turn up as you are, or if you wish, come armed with drawings, images, prints to play on.

This course is suitable for complete beginners or creatives who would like to extend their practice.

Please wear old clothes or bring an apron and lunch. Teas & Coffee will be provided.

Siobáin is a Fine Artist working predominantly in Print, she holds an MA Art Ed. & PGDip in post 16 education and has taught for over 25 years in a range of creative settings.

Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of the full cost of the course. If full payment is not made, you will not be allowed to start the course. We reserve the right to cancel the course at a weeks notice if there are less than 4 participants booked.

Cancellation Policy:
The sum of £50, will be lost If you cancel at short notice (less than 2 weeks before the course start). If your place cannot be filled, no monies will be returned.
