Screenprinting 6 week evening course

This course will concentrate on producing a multi-layered print with an emphasis on handmade imagery drawn from your own design. You will learn all aspects of the photo emulsion process, from conceiving and planning your work, to registration and proper use of the press. Stencils can be drawn using a wide range of drawing implements and materials to provide the textures and effects that add depth and detail to your layers of colour and your prints.

You will find out how to apply photo emulsion to a screen, expose it using our exposure units and then print on our two vacuum screen beds.Part of the course will cover the various papers that can be used, and mixing colours with screenprinting medium. By the end of the course, you will have gained a thorough understanding of how to produce an accurate edition of finished prints and be able to start thinking about printing independently.
This 6 week course is tailored to suit all students with different levels of experience and abilities.We limit our course numbers to 6 - in order for you to get the most from our tutors and the facilities.

NOTE The will be no class during Gloucs Schools half term - 31st October.

Terms and Conditions:

Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of the full cost of the course. We reserve the right to cancel the course at a weeks notice if there are less than 4 participants booked.

Please note

We will not be liable for any childcare, travel or accommodation fees lost due to cancellation by us.

Cancellation Policy:

The sum of £50, will be lost If you cancel at short notice (less than 2 weeks before the course start). If your place cannot be filled, no monies will be returned.
