We are delighted to welcome Sue Brown, one of the founder members of GPC back to the studios to explore collagraph and especially the use of carborundum grit on printing plates.

Explore the rich velvety textures you can achieve using carborundum grit as a collagraph material.
Learn to apply carborundum and seal it to make durable collagraph plates - creating prints with strong contrasts and subtlety.
Make and print over a 2 day workshop. Add chine collee and print with blended rubs as the inking technique on day 2.

This workshop will be suitable for printmakers adding to their collagraph techniques and those completely new to printmaking.

Basic materials, tools, ink and paper will be provided, but it is a good idea to bring your own pencils, pens, rubbers etc. Additional materials may be available to buy from the tutor or the art shop next door.
Your will need to bring your own lunch.

We limit our course numbers to 6 - in order for you to get the most from our tutors and the facilities.

** Please wear old clothes and bring an apron.**

Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of the full cost of the course. If full payment is not made, you will not be allowed to start the course. We reserve the right to cancel the course at a weeks notice if there are less than 4 participants booked.

We will not be liable for any childcare, travel or accommodation fees lost due to cancellation by us.

Cancellation Policy:

The sum of £50, will be lost If you cancel at short notice (less than 2 weeks before the course start). If your place cannot be filled, no monies will be returned.
