Love Letterpress Weekend Workshop

Love Letterpress!
Discover the addictive world of letterpress on this weekend course where you can print posters, cards, postcards, beer mats, & simple books.
You can also letterpress print on existing prints, your paintings or drawings, or add type to (for example) old maps, photographs, wrapping paper etc. Anything flat!
Using a proofing press, large Hopkinson press and a small Adana press you will learn how to work the presses, compose & set type & print using our collection of wooden and metal type.
We will also play with printing without using a press, using some very large wooden type.
Come and get type high!

Suitable for all - no previous print or letterpress print experience needed.

Suitable for all abilities. We limit our course numbers to 6 - in order for you to get the most from our tutors and the facilities.

Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of the full cost of the course. If full payment is not made, you will not be allowed to start the course. We reserve the right to cancel the course at a weeks notice if there are less than 4 participants booked.

Cancellation Policy:

The sum of £50, will be lost If you cancel at short notice (less than 2 weeks before the course start). If your place cannot be filled, no monies will be returned. COVID-19 Precautions

Presses and shared equipment (keeping this to a minimum) are wiped after each session with antibacterial cleaner.
Extractor fans will be switched on during courses in downstairs studios.
Students on courses run in the downstairs studio will have access to both the upstairs and downstairs toilets.
Students will need to bring refreshments with them.
