Letterpress & Printmaking for Artist’s Books Weekend Workshop

Letterpress & Printmaking for Artists Books Workshop

Let’s play with type. Experiment with layering different size type, considering page layout and direction of type and the interaction of type with monoprints.

Lucy Guenot and Jane Sasanow have designed a course which will give students the opportunity of playing with text and image on differing weights of paper which can be gathered into a book. They will explore the possibilities of mark making and texture through debossing and monoprinting. Play with letter forms and text will be both handprinted and using our Vandercook proofing press. There will be a simple introduction to basic type setting and printing.
Suitable for all abilities.
